In Zimbabwe there is less promotion of Indigenous Knowledge Systems which is resulting in cultural moral decadency, drug and substance abuse, violation of bio lateral cultural principles, early child marriages, teen pregnancies and abortions, cults and ritualism, homosexuality, prostitution, high adoption of foreign cultural values and degradation of the environment.
The vast majority of the Zimbabwean population are taking their culture as meaningless, doomed with ignorance they have become people with identity crisis not understanding their roots. “A people without a culture is a people without a soul” and “A people without knowing their roots / past is a people without a soul”- Sir Seretse Khama.
