  • Advocating for the integration of African medicine practices and products into the national health system that meet the standards of quality, safety and efficacy.
  • Supporting member state in developing proactive policies and implementing action plans that will strengthen the role of African medicine in keeping health populations (WHO Traditional medicine Strategy 2014-2023).
  • Promoting, prioritising health services and systems, including traditional and complementary medicine products, practices and practitioners.
  • Support with advocacy the promotion of Traditional medicines.
  • Education on the importance of bringing together ancient wisdom and modern science for the health and well-being of people and planet.
  • Helping to conserve and protect the environment.
  • Capacity building on traditional leaders and communities about the importance of preserving the environment and wildlife.
  • Awareness about environmental problems among communities.
  • Coming up with rules and regulations which govern environmental degradation.
  • Educating communities with knowledge, values, attitudes, commitment and skills needed to protect and improve the environment.
  • Working with national regional and international environmental organisations which promotes the preservation of environment for the communities to benefit.
